Terms of Service
Last updated: 30 October 2026
1. Who we are
Clipt (“Clipt”, “we”) is operated by [OWNER NAME: operator legal name / ENK or AS], org. no. [ORG. NR.], [STREET ADDRESS], [POSTCODE] [CITY], Norway. Contact: [OWNER EMAIL, e.g. support@joinclipt.com].
2. The service
Clipt is an online tool that transcribes videos, adds captions, music, sound effects and animations, and exports short-form videos. Features differ by plan (Free, Pro, Ultra), as described on our pricing page.
3. Accounts
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, which is 13 in Norway) to use Clipt. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian agrees to these terms and to any purchase. Keep your login details safe. You are responsible for activity on your account. One person may hold one account. Creating extra accounts to farm free exports or referral rewards is not allowed.
4. Your content
You keep all rights to the videos and text you upload (“Your Content”). You give us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, process, transcode and display Your Content only to provide the service to you. We do not use Your Content to train AI models and we do not sell it. You confirm that you have the rights to everything you upload, including music, footage and people's likeness.
5. Acceptable use
- No illegal content, child sexual abuse material, terrorist content, harassment, hate speech or non-consensual intimate imagery.
- Do not infringe copyright or trademarks, and do not upload content you don't have permission to use.
- Do not reverse-engineer, scrape, overload or attack the service, or get around plan limits or rate limits.
- Do not use Clipt to make deceptive deepfakes or impersonate others.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. Where the law requires it (for example the EU Digital Services Act), we will explain our decision and how you can appeal.
6. Bundled media
Music and sound effects in the Clipt library are CC0 / public domain or original works (see LICENSES). Clips from the clip finder are third-party Creative Commons or stock media under their own licences. You are responsible for following those licences and keeping the attribution we add.
7. Plans, payment and cancellation
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe. Prices are shown in USD. [Confirm VAT/MVA handling for Norwegian and EEA consumers.] You can cancel at any time, and your plan stays active until the end of the paid period. Right of withdrawal (angrerett): EEA consumers normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. By starting to use a paid plan right away, you agree that the service begins immediately and you acknowledge that [the right of withdrawal lapses / a proportional amount is charged]. [Lawyer to confirm the wording under the Norwegian Angrerettloven.] Monthly clip allowances do not roll over.
8. Referral rewards
Referral bonuses are a promotional perk with no cash value. They are limited to one per person, device and network, and capped per month. We may cancel rewards obtained through fake, duplicate or self-referred accounts.
9. Availability and changes
We try to keep Clipt running, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change features. If we make material changes to these terms, we will tell you in advance by email or in the app.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your rights as a consumer under Norwegian law (Forbrukerkjøpsloven / Markedsføringsloven, etc.). Otherwise, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. [Lawyer to review.]
11. Termination
You can delete your account at any time by contacting us [or using the in-app option]. We delete Your Content as described in the Privacy Policy.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Disputes go to the Norwegian courts, with [Oslo tingrett] as the agreed venue, without limiting the mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence. EEA consumers may also contact the Norwegian Consumer Authority (Forbrukertilsynet), Forbrukerrådet or the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
